Names Intended to be deleted from the Register of Electors Published January 31st, 2024
The Electoral and Boundaries Commission hereby gives notice that pursuant to
Section 9 of the Representation of the People Act Cap.12 of the Laws of
Barbados, it intends to consider the deletion of names of persons from Register
of Electors published on January 31, 2024 under Section 13 of the said Act.
Public must Notify of Residence Change Within 30 Days
The Electoral and Boundaries Commission (EBC) is advising holders of a Barbados Identification Card that they must now notify the Chief Registering Officer of any change of residence within 30 days of their relocation.
Chief Registering Officer, Angela Taylor, explained that this new change was in accordance with the Barbados Identity Management (BIM) Act, which was passed in Parliament in February 2021.
The BIM Act states: “A person who has been issued with an identification card shall notify the Chief Registering Officer of any change in his place of residence within 30 days of the change of address by submitting the Notice of Change of Residence Form.” (BGIS) read more
